When Hearing Loss Starts Changing How You Live
You've been managing. Turning up the TV, asking people to repeat themselves, leaning in at dinner tables hoping you catch enough to follow along. The conversations you love most, with family and friends, have slowly become harder to follow. Most people don’t come to us looking for a hearing aid. They see us because something in their daily life has quietly changed.
Hearing loss doesn’t just affect what you hear, it affects how present you feel, how confident you are in conversations, and how connected you feel to the people who matter most.
You deserve a clinician who understands that and takes the time to guide you with care and clarity.

Always Hearing Clinic
This is what hearing care should feel like
At Always Hearing, you see the same clinician from your first assessment through every follow-up.
Your hearing is assessed thoroughly, and your solution is tailored to how you actually live. The relationship doesn’t end when you leave the clinic, it continues with ongoing care and support. No rotating providers. Just independent, expert care from a clinician who is dedicated and accountable for your outcome.
Meet Dorothy Gesuale
I’ve spent more than 20 years in hearing healthcare—beginning as a hearing instrument specialist, moving into multi-location clinic management, and later serving as a regional manager with a hearing aid manufacturer, training audiology professionals across Ontario.
Today, I bring that depth of experience and commitment directly to the patients I work with.
The most meaningful part of this work is the moment things change—when someone hears clearly again, often for the first time in years. I’ve had patients notice sounds they hadn’t heard in a long time and say, “Why didn’t I take action sooner?”
Those moments are what this work is about.
Hearing loss is hard. It affects how you feel about yourself and how connected you are to the people you love. I make time for the questions that matter, I listen carefully, and I work with you until we find the right solution.
What I want for you is simple: to Live the life you desire for yourself.
That is why I do this work.
-Dorothy Gesuale, Founder, Always Hearing Clinic

Why Choose Us
Always Hearing Clinic was built on a clear belief: that the quality of your care depends entirely on the person delivering it.
Here is what that looks like in practice.
20 years of insider industry knowledge
Dorothy has worked as a clinician, multi-location clinic manager, and regional manager across Southwestern Ontario, training hearing care professionals now working in clinics throughout the region. That depth of experience informs every assessment and recommendation so you can feel confident your care is grounded in years of clinical and real-world expertise.
Already have hearing aids? We can help.
If you purchased your hearing aids elsewhere and aren’t getting the results you expected, we can support you. At Always Hearing, we assess your hearing, review your current devices, and make the adjustments needed to improve comfort, clarity, and performance. We care for your hearing as if we’ve been with you from the start.
Hearing Care for your Ears and your Brain
Your hearing is closely connected to how your brain processes sound, memory, and attention. Research shows that addressing hearing loss early can help support long-term cognitive health. At Always Hearing, we treat your hearing as part of your overall brain health, helping you stay sharp, present, and engaged in daily life.
One clinician, accountable to you.
You see Dorothy at every appointment. She knows your name, your hearing history, and how your hearing has changed over time. Your care is continuous, personal, and guided by a long-term relationship - not a one-time visit.
Services We Provide

Diagnostic Hearing Assessment
A full evaluation of how you hear across the range of frequencies that matter most in daily life. Dorothy walks you through the results in plain language: what's happening, what it means, and what your options are.

Hearing Aid Fitting & Verification
Every fitting includes real ear measurement - a clinical step that confirms your aids are calibrated to your actual hearing loss, not a manufacturer default. Dorothy adjusts until they sound right. She carries all styles and brands of hearing aid technology and recommends based on your hearing and your lifestyle.

The Adoption Plan
If you purchased hearing aids somewhere else and aren't getting the support you deserve, Always Hearing Clinic will step in. Dorothy will assess your devices, verify they're performing correctly for your hearing loss, and provide the ongoing care your investment should have come with.

Follow-Up & Ongoing Care
Your relationship with Always Hearing Clinic doesn't end at fitting. Scheduled follow-ups, annual hearing retests, and same-day troubleshooting when something changes. Dorothy remains your clinician -- she knows your hearing profile, your history, and your name.

Hearing & Brain Health Consultations
Untreated hearing loss is the leading modifiable risk factor for cognitive decline. If you're concerned about what your hearing could mean for your long-term brain health, Dorothy will walk you through the current research and what it means in practical terms for you.

Earwax Removal
Dorothy provides safe and effective earwax removal techniques. Accumulated earwax can induce hearing loss, pain, dizziness and other issues. If wax is present at your assessment, she addresses it then. If it's the primary reason you're not hearing clearly, it may be the only service you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Always Hearing Clinic different from other hearing clinics in Burlington?
Most hearing clinics in Burlington are staffed by rotating clinicians working within large chains or franchise models. At Always Hearing Clinic, you see Dorothy at every appointment. There are no manufacturer quotas shaping what she recommends. Instead, you’ll get independent, expert care from one person who takes your results personally.
Do I need a referral to book a hearing assessment?
No referral is needed. You can call directly or book online to schedule your diagnostic hearing assessment. Dorothy will take care of everything from there.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first visit is a full diagnostic hearing assessment. Dorothy tests your hearing across a complete range of frequencies, walks you through the results in plain language, and asks about your life beyond the audiogram. Then she’ll make recommendations for what comes next.
I already bought hearing aids somewhere else. Can you still help me?
Yes. If you purchased hearing aids at another clinic, a chain, or even Costco, and you are not getting the support you deserve, Always Hearing Clinic will step in. Dorothy will assess your devices, verify they are performing correctly for your hearing loss, and provide the ongoing care your investment should have come with from the start.
How does hearing loss connect to brain health?
Untreated hearing loss is the leading modifiable risk factor for cognitive decline. A 2025 Johns Hopkins study found that hearing aids reduce the risk of dementia by 32%. At Always Hearing Clinic, Dorothy treats your hearing as part of your long-term brain health, not just your ability to follow a conversation.
Which hearing aid brands do you carry?
Dorothy carries all hearing aid styles and manufacturers. She recommends a treatment plan based on your listening needs and lifestyle.
